Christmas Pageant
This year's Christmas pageant will draw on the Mexican traditions of the posadas procession (in which Mary and Joseph seek shelter) and the pastorela play (in which the devil tries to prevent the shepherds from getting to Bethlehem). We'll need lots of shepherds, maybe some sheep, and people to play the Holy Family and those they encounter on their journey. Please note that we rehearse our pageant in advance. Ideally, the rehearsal dates should fit in your household's calendar:
*Saturday, December 12, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (potluck of healthful snacks)
*Saturday, December 19, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon (snacks, again)
*Wednesday, December 23, DRESS REHEARSAL, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. (grazing dinner table provided)
Actors and volunteers: Here's this year's script!
