Bible Study Group
The Bible Study Group meets every Sunday from 9:30-10:30AM at St. Gregory's, in the Fabian Room (off the rotunda, under the tiger.)
During most of the year, the group focuses their study on the Lectionary texts. During the season of Lent, the group reads a contemporary book together. Contact Mike D.
Here's what participants are saying about the Bible Study Group:
Everyone is welcome to join us. Diversity/variety is our strength. Many of us are from different denominations and we read from a variety of translations to enrich and broaden our perspective, often illuminating new insights.
The Bible Study Group is having a conversation with Scripture. We are allowing it to question and shape the way each of us in the world and in relationship to each other. In the process of study, we are deepening our idea of what it means to be disciples – to follow Jesus.
The Bible Study Group is having a weekly conversation with Scripture, and discovering that the old stories and lessons have a surprising effect on our present lives.
Our questions become more insightful, our religious heritage becomes more meaningful, our relationships to one another deepen.
We’re taking up Jesus’ challenge to change our minds, our hearts, and our way of seeing and living in the world.
