In Jesus' day and age, religious practice was normative. In our day and age (especially in the Bay Area) religious practice is more unusual. In many circles, it is taboo to even talk about religion. But it can be confusing, lonely--even scary--to try to navigate religious and spiritual practice all alone!
Lent is a season when Christians have traditionally adopted intentional practices in the hopes of renewing their spiritual lives. Three practices that Christians have traditionally adopted are prayer, fasting, and almsgiving (also known as acts of mercy or charity). Perhaps you feel called to explore one or more of these practices this Lent. Or perhaps you feel God inviting you to explore some other spiritual practice.
This forum is a safe space to share the spiritual practices you feel called to explore this Lenten season, to ask for prayers, to encourage others, and to be encouraged yourself. Share your Lenten practice and related prayer requests in the "comments" below!
Blessings!
